Delightful, buttery cookies with toasted pecans for a rich flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup toasted pecans (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes or until fragrant and golden.
  3. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring they are well combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients without overmixing.
  6. Fold in the toasted pecans.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them between sheets of parchment paper.
