  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 48 milk chocolate kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a larger bowl, beat the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into about 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden but centers are soft.
  8. Press a milk chocolate kiss firmly into the center of each cookie as soon as they come out of the oven.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store your cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh for up to a week. Make ahead by refrigerating the dough for up to three days.
