Easy BBQ Cauliflower Bites

Crispy, saucy cauliflower bites that provide a healthy alternative to traditional BBQ snacks, perfect for gatherings or casual meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
  • Chopped fresh parsley or cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and dry the cauliflower, then cut it into bite-sized florets, about 1-2 inches wide.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well-combined.
  4. Gradually incorporate the unsweetened almond milk into the dry mixture, whisking until smooth.
  5. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off before placing on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven and toss the baked florets with BBQ sauce in a large bowl until fully coated.
  8. Return the coated florets to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet to ensure optimal crispiness.
