A cozy and comforting golden milk recipe, perfect for chilly evenings, with nourishing turmeric and warming spices.

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy like almond or oat)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir gently.
  2. Place the saucepan on medium heat and warm the mixture for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
  3. Remove from heat, then add 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract if using. Stir until dissolved.
  4. Pour the golden milk into your favorite mug, add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

For a smoother texture, strain fresh turmeric through a fine sieve if used. Store leftover golden milk in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
