Quick Homemade Hummus is a creamy, smooth, and flavorful dip made from chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. This easy recipe comes together in minutes and is perfect for snacks, sandwiches, or as a party appetizer.

Ingredients

– 1 can (15-ounce) Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)

– 1/2 cup High-Quality Tahini

– 1/4 cup Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice

– 1 Large Clove Garlic

– 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

– 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin

– 1/2 teaspoon Salt

– 3 to 5 tablespoons Ice Cold Water

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Garnish with paprika, fresh parsley, or a sprinkle of cumin if desired.
  7. Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or use as a spread.
