A refreshing and flavorful Mexican shrimp dish, marinated in zesty lime juice and chilies, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Shrimp
  • Lime Juice
  • Cucumber (English)
  • Chilies (Serrano or Jalapeños)
  • Salt
  • Cilantro (optional)
  • Avocado (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp and place in a bowl.
  2. Pour lime juice over the shrimp until fully submerged and let sit for at least 30 seconds.
  3. Add chopped cucumbers, sliced chilies, and salt to taste.
  4. Marinate in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes until shrimp turn opaque.
  5. Serve chilled, garnished with cilantro and avocado if desired.

Notes

Ensure shrimp is at room temperature for optimal marinating. Can be made ahead of time, but add shrimp closer to serving for best texture.
