Ingredients
Scale
8 cups apple cider (I love using Martinelli’s for its rich flavour)
3 cups orange juice (fresh-squeezed provides the best taste)
1 (46 oz) can pineapple juice (use Dole for a vibrant sweetness)
2 Tbsp honey (optional, adjust based on sweetness preference)
2 3-inch cinnamon sticks (stick with McCormick for quality)
2 tsp whole cloves
Instructions
In a large pot, combine apple cider, orange juice, lemon juice, and honey (or brown sugar).
Place cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice in a spice bag or cheesecloth and add to the pot.
Add sliced orange and apple to the pot.
Heat over medium-low heat until warm (do not boil), stirring occasionally to dissolve sweetener.
Simmer for 20-30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Remove spice bag.
If desired, stir in cranberry juice or alcohol just before serving.
Serve warm in mugs, garnished with additional orange or apple slices.
Notes
For a smoother punch, strain out spices and fruit before serving.
Adjust sweetness and spice levels to your preference.
Can be made in a slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours for easy serving at parties.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat gently before serving.
