5-Minute Sautéed Bok Choy

A quick and delicious recipe for sautéed bok choy, perfect as a light and refreshing side dish.

  • 2 large heads of bok choy, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chili flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the chopped bok choy stems first and sauté for about 2 minutes.
  4. Then add the bok choy leaves and season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir for another 1-2 minutes until leaves are wilted but still bright green.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and top with chili flakes if desired.

Notes

For added crunch, consider tossing in some carrots or bell peppers. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
