Delectable Air Fryer Cake

A rich and moist chocolate cake made effortlessly in an air fryer, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour (or gluten-free blend)
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk (room temperature)
  • ½ cup olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: Add in the milk, olive oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer on medium speed, beat the mixture for about 3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate Boiling Water: Carefully pour in the boiling water. Mix on low speed until everything is combined.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 325°F (163°C).
  5. Prepare the Pan: Spray a 6″ bundt cake pan or a round cake pan with cooking spray.
  6. Transfer Batter: Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  7. Air Fry the Cake: Bake at 325°F for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool It Down: Leave the cake in the basket until it’s cool enough to handle.
  9. Flip and Cool Completely: Invert a plate over the top of the cake pan and carefully flip it. Remove the pan and transfer to a wire rack.
  10. Repeat: For the second cake, use the remaining batter and follow the same steps.

Notes

Using room temperature eggs and milk helps for a smoother batter. Store cakes tightly wrapped to maintain moisture.
