  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined and fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over it. Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the mixture on top.
  6. Use a knife to swirl the mixture to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. While cooling, mix the glaze ingredients until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread, slice, serve, and enjoy!
