  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped

  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray, and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until thoroughly mixed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples gently until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter in the loaf pan.
  7. Add the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Swirl through the batter for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract together for the glaze until smooth while the bread cools.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread, slice, and enjoy!
