Irresistible Apple Bundt Cake

A delightful cake baked in a fluted bundt pan, filled with tender apple chunks and aromatic spices, perfect for autumn gatherings.

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  3. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples and chopped nuts if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack.
