Apple Pie Dump Cake

A simple and delightful dessert that combines tender apples and a soft cake with a buttery crust, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 can of apple pie filling (21 oz)
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: Chopped nuts, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour the apple pie filling into the prepared dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the apples.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle cinnamon over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Optional: Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a golden brown top, you can broil for 1-2 minutes, but watch closely to prevent burning.
