Baked Honey Mustard Chicken Breasts

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Fresh thyme (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400º F.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine olive oil, honey, whole grain mustard, Dijon mustard, salt, and minced garlic cloves. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pound the chicken breasts to ensure even thickness.
  4. Coat each chicken breast generously with the honey mustard sauce.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish, ensuring they are not crowded.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165º F, removing the foil for the last 5 minutes if desired.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve hot.

Notes

Let chicken breasts reach room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
