A comforting dish of succulent chicken breasts baked in a rich, creamy white wine sauce, perfect for impressing guests or indulging yourself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Pour the white wine over the chicken and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. Add heavy cream to the skillet and stir to combine.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking for juicier results. Use a wine you would drink for better flavor.
