  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat the mixture until well combined and fluffy.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  6. Remove from oven and cool in the pan. Slice into squares and serve warm.

Notes

For added fudginess, slightly underbake. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days.
