  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for filling
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the melted butter, sugar, egg, and milk, and mix thoroughly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Carefully fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  6. On a floured surface, roll out your dough into a rectangle (about ½ inch thick).
  7. Mix brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, and sprinkle it over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a cylinder and cut into 12 pieces.
  9. Place rolls spiral-side up in the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth.
  11. Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the rolls and serve.

Notes

These rolls can be made ahead and stored in the fridge or frozen for later.
