Irresistibly Delicious Bang Bang Chicken

Crispy, juicy chicken in a creamy, zesty sauce that bursts with flavor. Perfect for family gatherings or a quick dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup whole egg mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cubed)
  • 1 tbsp oil (Canola or vegetable oil)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Refrigerate while preparing the chicken.
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or prepare your air fryer at 400°F.
  3. Trim excess fat from the chicken thighs and cut them into 1-inch cubes for even cooking.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the chicken with oil until well coated.
  5. Sprinkle cornstarch on top and toss again until coated to achieve a crispy crunch.
  6. Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl, stirring until all pieces are coated.
  7. If using an air fryer: Spread chicken in a single layer and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F. If using an oven: Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.
  8. Toss the cooked chicken with the Bang Bang sauce, starting with half and adding more to your preference.
  9. Serve the chicken with rice or vegetables, garnishing with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes

Quality chicken yields the best results; consider letting it rest to promote even cooking. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
