2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vanilla or funfetti dry cake mix
Sprinkles (optional)
Light corn syrup
Instructions
In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, milk, cake pieces, rainbow sprinkles, and vanilla extract.
Blend until smooth and creamy. If too thick, add more milk one tablespoon at a time.
Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and additional rainbow sprinkles.
Serve immediately with a straw and spoon.
Notes
For a richer shake, use birthday cake flavored ice cream.
If you don’t have leftover cake, use 2-3 store-bought cupcakes or a slice of bakery cake.
Add a splash of almond extract for a more authentic ‘cake batter’ flavor.
Best enjoyed immediately as the sprinkles may bleed color if stored.
