Blackened Fish Tacos

A delightful and flavorful dish featuring flaky fish coated in Cajun seasoning, topped with fresh veggies and wrapped in warm tortillas.

  • 2 fish fillets (tilapia or mahi-mahi recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Rub each fish fillet with olive oil and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the fish in the hot grill or skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until charred and flaky.
  4. Remove the fish and let it rest for a couple of minutes, then flake into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Warm the tortillas on the grill or skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  6. Assemble the tacos by stacking blackened fish on each tortilla and topping with cabbage, avocado, and pico de gallo.
  7. Squeeze lime juice over the top and serve immediately.
