Ingredients
Scale
2 slices of sourdough bread
1 apple, sliced
Brie cheese, sliced
Handful of arugula
1/2 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of hot honey
2 teaspoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Make the Honey Mustard Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix together hot honey, olive oil, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and mayonnaise. Stir until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Butter the Bread: Spread butter generously onto one side of each slice of sourdough.
Assemble the Sandwich: Flip the bread over and spread an even layer of honey mustard sauce on both unbuttered sides.
Layer It Up: On one slice, add a layer of sliced brie followed by apple slices. Top with the second slice of bread, ensuring the buttered side is facing out.
Cook the Sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet, cover, and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and brown the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
Add Fresh Greens: Remove the sandwich, add arugula on top of the melted brie, close up, and serve warm.
