Best Buckeye Fudge

A rich and irresistible Buckeye Fudge that combines chocolate and peanut butter for a creamy, decadent treat.

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the Chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir gently until fully melted and smooth, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Cool Slightly: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  3. Make the Peanut Butter Layer: In a medium bowl, mix creamy peanut butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth and well combined.
  4. Layer the Fudge: Spread half of the melted chocolate mixture into a lined 8×8-inch baking dish.
  5. Swirl the Peanut Butter: Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate layer and swirl with a knife.
  6. Top with Remaining Chocolate: Pour the remaining chocolate mixture over the top and spread evenly.
  7. Add Peanuts: If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts on top.
  8. Chill: Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
  9. Serve: Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a nut-free version, omit the peanuts or substitute with sunflower seed butter.
