Butter Chicken Bliss

A comforting Butter Chicken recipe with rich, creamy flavors and a perfect balance of spices.

  • 1 pound chicken, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or naan for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it bubbles slightly.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5-6 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
  4. Add the diced chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in the tomato sauce, stir in the garam masala and cumin, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 more minutes until heated through.
  7. Serve over cooked rice or alongside naan.

Notes

You can make the sauce ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days. Leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
