Heavenly Chantilly Frosting

An enchanting Chantilly frosting with a light, silky texture and a sweet, decadent flavor perfect for any dessert.

  • 1 cup heavy cream (fresh and cold)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (preferably pure)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the cold heavy cream and powdered sugar.
  2. Add Flavor: Next, add the vanilla extract to the bowl.
  3. Whip Until Smooth: Using an electric mixer, whip the mixture on medium speed for 3-5 minutes until soft peaks form.
  4. Buttercream Optional: If you’re going for the buttercream twist, beat in the softened unsalted butter until fluffy.
  5. Frost Away!: Use the freshly-made frosting immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or pastries.

Notes

Chill your mixing bowl and beaters prior to starting for the best results. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
