Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole

A hearty, comforting casserole that combines all the flavors of a cheeseburger with crispy french fries – perfect for family dinners or game day gatherings.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup onion, finely diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup yellow mustard

1 bag (32 oz) of frozen French fries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In skillet, brown ground beef with onion over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In bowl, mix cheese soup, milk, ketchup and mustard until smooth. Combine with beef mixture.
  5. Spread beef mixture in baking dish. Top with frozen french fries in even layer.
  6. Bake uncovered 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 10 more minutes until bubbly.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes before serving with optional toppings.

Notes

  • For crispier fries, broil for last 2-3 minutes
  • Add 1/2 cup cooked bacon for bacon cheeseburger version
  • Can substitute tater tots for french fries
  • Leftovers reheat well in air fryer
