Delightful Cherry Blossom Cookies infused with cherry flavor and topped with melted Hershey’s Kisses, perfect for spring celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped cherries
  • Hershey’s Kisses (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg until well combined.
  5. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or cherries.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie right after baking.
  10. Cool cookies on a wire rack.

Notes

For a chewier texture, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
