Chocolate Chip Cookies with Flaky Sea Salt

Delicious chocolate chip cookies enhanced with flaky sea salt for a perfect sweet and salty treat.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing just until incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of each cookie dough ball.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
