Christmas Pizza Bites

Festive and fun holiday treats that bring family and friends together, filled with gooey cheese and savory toppings.

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni or chopped salami
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Optional toppings: Chopped fresh basil, crushed red pepper, sliced olives, diced bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Open the pizza dough and roll it out on a lightly floured surface, cutting it into 2-inch squares.
  4. In the center of each square, place a pinch of mozzarella cheese and a few pieces of mini pepperoni or your chosen toppings.
  5. Fold the corners together and pinch to seal the filling inside.
  6. Arrange the sealed bites on the baking sheet, optionally forming them into creative shapes.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce or pesto for dipping.

Notes

Timing is key—if they start browning too quickly, cover with foil. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
