  • 2 cups almond milk or water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Nuts or seeds (e.g., almonds, chia seeds) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa, almond milk (or water), ground cinnamon, maple syrup (or honey), and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. Once the liquid is absorbed, remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff the quinoa with a fork and serve warm, topped with fresh fruit and nuts or seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. For variety, try different fruits and toppings.
