Cinnamon-Spiced Apples

Warm, tender apples infused with cinnamon and brown sugar, perfect for cozy autumn gatherings.

  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples into wedges.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the sliced apples, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir to coat.
  5. Pour in the water and cover the skillet with a lid.
  6. Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream and an extra sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes
