Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Cake

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk to the wet mixture, starting and ending with flour.
  6. Mix cinnamon with granulated sugar for the swirl.
  7. Pour half the batter into the bundt pan, sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture, and layer with the remaining batter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert onto a plate and cool completely.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for the best texture. Adjust cinnamon to taste.
