Delightful Crab Cake Egg Rolls

A flavorful twist on classic crab cakes wrapped in a crispy shell, perfect for entertaining or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crabmeat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped green onions, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix gently until everything is well combined.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing toward you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the crab mixture in the center of the wrapper.
  3. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then roll tightly away from you, tucking in the sides as you go. Seal the edges with a dab of water.
  4. In a deep pan or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully lower the egg rolls into the hot oil. Cook until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove the egg rolls from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure crabmeat is at room temperature for better binding. Don’t overfill the egg rolls to avoid bursting while frying.
