Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  4. In another bowl, mix the cranberries, orange juice, and granulated sugar for the filling. Spread this mixture over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining mixture over the cranberry filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Let the bars cool and prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over cooled bars.
  8. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, store bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
