A hearty and comforting pasta dish featuring ground beef in a creamy tomato sauce, topped with melted mozzarella cheese. Perfect for a quick and satisfying family dinner.
16 oz pasta (any type)
1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp onion powder
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 – 2 cups mozzarella cheese,
24 oz marinara sauce
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a cast iron skillet, brown ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Once the meat is cooked and seasoned, add the softened cream cheese to the skillet and stir until combined.
Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and mix well.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and combine with the sauce.
Top the mixture with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted.
Let the dish set for a few minutes before serving.
You can substitute ground beef with Italian sausage for a different flavor. Using freshly shredded cheese is recommended for better melting, but pre-shredded cheese works as well.
