Creamy Dijon Rosemary Chicken

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy Dijon sauce with aromatic rosemary.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by seasoning it generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Sear the chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for 6 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic in the same skillet for about 1 minute.
  4. Create the sauce by stirring in Dijon mustard, heavy cream, and chicken broth until it thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped rosemary and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Combine the chicken back into the skillet, coating it with the sauce, and let simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Plate and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Not suitable for long-term freezing due to the cream.
