Creamy Gnocchi with Red Sauce

A comforting bowl of creamy gnocchi tossed in a rich, velvety marinara sauce with hints of garlic and fresh basil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package gnocchi (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup light cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, diced
  • Fresh basil leaves, torn

Instructions

  1. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in light cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and white wine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet, gently tossing to coat in the sauce.
  5. Stir in diced mozzarella and torn basil, allowing the cheese to melt.
  6. Serve in bowls, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.

Notes

For added depth, sauté mushrooms or spinach with the garlic. Avoid overcooking the gnocchi; they should be tender but hold their shape.
