Irresistibly Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fritters

These lighter, healthier apple fritters are cooked in an air fryer for a crispy outside and soft, apple-filled inside, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • Cooking spray or a little oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar until evenly mixed.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Carefully fold in the diced apples until they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  7. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the basket.
  8. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  9. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before enjoying.

Notes

These fritters can be served with caramel sauce or ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
