Deliciously crunchy air fryer chicken tenders glazed with a sweet and smoky honey BBQ sauce, perfect for family dinners or game-day snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • pounds chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (for the sauce)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (for the sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Set up a breading station: mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in one dish, beat the eggs in another, and place breadcrumbs in the third.
  3. Dip each chicken tender into the flour mixture, followed by the beaten eggs, and coat evenly with the breadcrumbs.
  4. Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (should reach 165°F internally).
  6. In a saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and onion powder, and cook over low heat for 5-6 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Toss the chicken tenders in the honey BBQ sauce or serve on the side. Enjoy!
