Crispy Parmesan Garlic Chicken Burritos

Crispy Parmesan Garlic Chicken Burritos are a delightful fusion of flavors with crispy chicken, savory Parmesan, and aromatic garlic wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for pan-frying)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 23 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for toasting the burritos)
  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to mix.
  2. Dredge each chicken strip in the seasoned breadcrumb mixture, ensuring thorough coating.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate to rest, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Lay out each tortilla and place a layer of shredded cheese, followed by crispy chicken strips.
  6. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll from the bottom up to form a snug burrito.
  7. Melt butter in a clean skillet over medium heat and toast the burritos seam-side down for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  8. Serve hot, sliced in half and garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider double-dipping the chicken strips before frying. Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor.
