Brie & Fig-Jam Grilled Cheese

A comforting twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring creamy brie cheese and sweet fig jam, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces brie cheese (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons fig jam
  • 1/4 cup turkey bacon (cooked and chopped)
  • Fresh arugula (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients: slice the brie cheese and chop the turkey bacon.
  2. Spread room temperature butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the sliced brie on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, spread fig jam over the cheese, and sprinkle with chopped turkey bacon. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side out.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and grill the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  6. Cool for a minute, slice in half, and garnish with fresh arugula.
