Savory & Simple BBQ Chicken Flatbread

A quick and delicious BBQ chicken flatbread topped with tender chicken, tangy BBQ sauce, and gooey melted cheese.

  • 2 flatbreads or naan
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or garlic butter (optional)
  • Optional toppings: pickled jalapeños, crispy bacon bits, or fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well coated.
  3. Place the flatbreads on the baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil or garlic butter, if using.
  4. Spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce over each flatbread.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over each flatbread.
  6. Distribute the BBQ chicken mixture over the cheese, then add the sliced red onion. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, and add optional toppings if desired.
  9. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
