Easy Cream Cheese Green Bean Casserole

A comforting and indulgent twist on the classic green bean casserole, featuring creamy cream cheese and crispy fried onions.

  • 3 (11-ounce) cans green beans, drained
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup French-fried onions
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Thoroughly drain the green beans.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, softened cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Fold in ½ cup of the French-fried onions.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, cover loosely with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil, stir gently, and top with the remaining French-fried onions.
  7. Bake uncovered for another 20-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze before baking for up to 2 months.
