  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until foamy.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  4. Remove the shrimp and keep warm.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer, scraping up bits from the skillet.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, simmer until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add the shrimp back into the skillet, coating them with the sauce.
  8. Season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut cream and plant-based butter. For added heat, include red pepper flakes.
