Easy Tossed Salad

A fresh and vibrant tossed salad with crisp greens, colorful vegetables, and a simple homemade dressing – ready in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • Salad Base:
    • 6 cups mixed salad greens (romaine, spinach, arugula)
    • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
    • 1 cucumber, sliced
    • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 bell pepper (any color), diced
    • 1 carrot, shredded
  • Optional Add-ins:
    • 1/2 cup croutons
    • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
    • 1/4 cup shredded cheese
    • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • Dressing:
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
    • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
    • 1 tsp honey
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large salad bowl, combine all salad greens and vegetables.
  2. In a small jar with lid, combine all dressing ingredients. Shake vigorously until well blended.
  3. Pour dressing over salad just before serving and toss gently to coat.
  4. Add any optional toppings if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best texture, wash and dry greens thoroughly before using.
  • Dressing can be made ahead and stored in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Add protein like grilled chicken or chickpeas to make it a meal.
