Garlic Butter Parmesan Gnocchi

A creamy delight featuring tender gnocchi enveloped in a rich garlic butter sauce and topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the surface (about 2-3 minutes for fresh gnocchi or 5-7 for frozen). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble (about 1 minute).
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  4. Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet, gently tossing to coat in the garlic butter for about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the cup of grated Parmesan cheese, mixing well. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra creaminess, consider adding a splash of cream with the Parmesan. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
