Garlic Butter Turkey Meatloaf

A flavorful twist on a classic comfort food, this garlic butter turkey meatloaf is juicy and filled with savory notes, perfect for family dinners.

  • 2 lbs Ground Turkey (93/7)
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Whole Milk
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion (finely diced)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (for sautéing)
  • ¼ cup Unsalted Butter (for glaze)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar (packed)
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the onion until translucent, then add minced garlic.
  3. In a bowl, make the panade by mixing panko and milk, letting it sit for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add ground turkey, eggs, onion and garlic mixture, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the panade. Mix gently.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Prepare the glaze by melting ¼ cup of butter, adding garlic, brown sugar, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  7. Glaze the meatloaf and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. After 30 minutes, apply the remaining glaze and bake for another 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
  9. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Ensure not to overmix the meat to avoid a tough texture. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
