Savory Garlic Mushrooms

A delightful blend of earthiness from cremini mushrooms, aromatic garlic, and sweet sun-dried tomatoes, finished with fresh herbs for a comforting side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme or parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced cremini mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes until browned and tender.
  4. Stir in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and herbs, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is well combined and heated through.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy warm!

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider deglazing the pan with a splash of white wine after cooking the garlic and before adding the mushrooms.
