A heartwarming homemade Garlic Parmesan Focaccia Bread featuring a buttery garlic oil infusion and nutty Parmesan cheese. Perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for greasing)
  • 1 ¾ cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (for topping)
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt (for topping)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
  • Fresh parsley or herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and instant yeast. Stir in olive oil and warm water until a sticky dough forms. Cover and let rise for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  3. Transfer risen dough to the pan, stretching it to the edges. Let it rest for another 30 minutes.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat olive oil and minced garlic until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  5. Press dimples into the dough and drizzle garlic oil over the top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, fresh herbs, and flaky salt.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares or strips.

Notes

Allow for extra rising time for fluffier focaccia. Store leftovers at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
