  • 3/4 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggnog, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, stir together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.

Notes

Avoid overmixing to prevent a dense loaf. You can also substitute buttermilk for eggnog if needed.
