Irresistible Green Bean Casserole

A creamy and crunchy green bean casserole made with fresh green beans and a homemade sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup fried onion rings
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 4-5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, milk, and cheddar cheese; mix until smooth. Then add the green beans and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  6. After 25 minutes, add the fried onion rings on top and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Make-ahead by assembling a day before baking.
